The bar-headed goose – one of the world’s highest-flying birds, apparently seen over Mount Everest – 8,848 m (29,029 ft)
What’s even more surprising is that that these birds don’t spend time to acclimatize, meaning they could be here today and walk on the top of Everest tomorrow and have no problem at all.
Bar-headed geese migrate via the highest mountain ranges on Earth – the Himalayas. The species has been reported as migrating south from Tibet, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia before crossing the Himalayas
