Greater Spotted Eagles are large migratory raptors that live across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and parts of Africa. Ranging between 23–28 inches in length and having a wingspan of almost 6 feet, you know how big they are!
IUCN (The International Union for Conservation of Nature) has classified this species as vulnerable to extinction and it is believed that we have less than 10,000 nos left in the world! Of course, the primary threats are habitat degradation and habitat loss, due to human interference.
I would have loved to get an image with better background but nevertheless at least managed to get this record shot, which I will treasure till my luck favors again.. On this occasion, I managed to click the shutter just couple of times before he decided to fly away!
