Common Teal (also known as Eurasian Teal)
It is called teal, simply because of the blue-green color around it’s eyes. One of the most common ducks found across Europe and Asia, which breeds in temperate Eurasia and migrates south in winter.
Peculiarly, it does not go under the water to find its food. Instead, it stays on top usually feeding by dabbling, upending or grazing and eats seeds and bugs that live in the water.
In this image, what you see is a male Teal in beautiful nuptial plumage.
